Fortunately many issues affecting the nose can be treated with non-surgical methods. These include :-
- Dorsal hump – this is the bump that some people have along the bridge of the nose. This can be disguised with hyaluronic acid filler injection above and below it in order to create a smooth contour
- Poor tip projection – very rounded or flat nasal tips can be augmented with hyaluronic acid filler injection
- Ageing/droopy nose – the nose starts to droop and elongate with age. This is partly due to the bony skeleton shrinking below the nose. This nose can be restored to a more youthful position with hyaluronic acid filler injection. This improves droopiness and downward curving of the tip.
This is the name given to the treatment of the issues listed above using hyaluronic acid filler injections and occasionally muscle relaxing injections as well. These treatments can be a very useful alternative for those seeking surgical rhinoplasty. The benefits are that the treatments are much quicker, cheaper and require very little time (if any) for recovery.
Hyaluronic acid filler injections to the nose are incredibly effective at improving the appearance of the nose. One or two treatments may be required initially and results typically last 12 to 18 months. Treatment can be repeated as necessary.
